Dinosaurs of the Dinosaur Park Formation

The Dinosaur Park Formation is a geological formation that dates back 77-74 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous in what is now Alberta, Canada. The formation represented a fluvial channel and floodplains environment which is home to a plethora of dinosaurs, ranging from armored ankylosaurs such as Edmontonia, to horned ceratopsians such as Chasmosaurus, to the apex predator tyrannosaurs such as Gorgosaurus. Aside from the multitude of many genera of dinosaurs, other fascinating non-dinosaurs prehistoric animals that call this formation home also includes the amphibious reptiles Champsosarus and the giant azhdarchid pterosaur Cryodrakon.
